Two for Joy
This piece references composition, structure and narrative from Sidney Sime's work, changing Sime's dreamlike landscape into something that could be seen as a theatre set or backdrop.
It references The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro which follows a couples journey through a reimagined Britain, where fantasy and folklore are real and collective memory is questioned. There are figures in costume, a deity of sorts, and the main protagonist that bridges the two worlds through fantasy.
